Umbria
Sort By:

Umbria is one of Italy's smallest regions in terms of size and populations with viticulture only having a minor significance in the regional economy. Umbria's most notable wine is its white Orvieto Classico which accounts for much of the regions DOC production.  Starting in the 1990's, thanks to Tuscan investors and expert oenologists, Umbria's production of higher quality wines has started to increase significantly, lead particularly by the DOCG Sagrantino di Montefalco.
