Bugey

Bugey is the overall name for the wines of the Ain in the southern Jura Mountains of Eastern France.The main grape varieties grown for white wines are Jacquere, Chardonnay, and Altesse (known locally as Rousette), while red wines are usually produced from Gamay, Pinot Noir, Poulsard, and Mondeuse.
