The Galilee wine region is known for producing some of Israel's best wines. Galilee includes more than one-third of Israel, extending from the base of Mount Hermon on the north, to the ridges of Carmel on the south, and from the Jordan Valley on the east to the shores of the Mediterranean. Most of the terrain is rocky averaging between 500-700 meters in height.
