Maison Camille Giroud was founded in 1865, and over the years leadership was passed down from one generation to the next.  The house was known for wines made in the traditional style, which were ageable for many, many years. Giroud is keeping with the tradition of circulating older vintages. Every year they release between 10-15 wines dating back to the 1960’s. In addition, they release a certain percentage of current vintage wines, which is a new practice for them. The venerable domaine was purchased by Anne Colgin, Becky Wasserman, and others in 2001 and enlisted David Croix as winemaker.
